Not a solution, but at least it works correctly for me now.

Hey Sirtimo,

What wbee said was pretty much right on. While it is possibly to create a gateway even now, one of the big draw backs would be when the architecture for v1.1 is released, they would have to "re-tweek" the gateway code for the new setup. With 1.1's release, you will start seeing more and more documentation on how to create your own gateway, and I suspect we will start to see more and more developers making custom gateways for specific areas and interests.

Regards,

Shopp NEEDS to be able to designate shipping by at minimum by Country level. Every shopping cart should be able to specify "Free shipping on all U.S. Orders" while everybody else pays normal rate. I currently see no way to do this simple task. It seems like a very core basic thing that is lacking! Ideally, being able to designate by city or zip code would be best, but by Country at least should be a given. IMO this should be a top priority for the next release along with fixing that paypal pro discount rounding error

Hey Andy,

The main way people achieve separation of products is by using the "Category" feature, where they can split up their inventory into "departments". As far as creating completely separate entire catalogs of products, it would require running separate versions of Shopp.

Hey Tammy,

I know how you feel :). We're all looking forward to the integration of Subscription and membership features in Shopp. It's going to be amazing. I know it doesn't help time constraints but I would like to share this. One thing you'll find about Shopp, and just one aspect that sets Shopp apart from the rest is how development is handled. If something is not clean, functional, and to the point, it's not going to just get thrown in there. I've known both Jon and John for 13 or so years, and they don't know the meaning of "half-way". So while I know the wait hurts, trust me... it will be worth it.

It is still coming, it just won't be released until everything is perfectly in place to get it live and working smoothly with all pieces of Shopp.

Zacharias,
Thank you for your kind words. It's always great to hear such things. I can also say, I'm not involved in this because I've known the developer for so many years, I'm in this because its a tool, a company, and most certainly a community I believe in.

With the continued support, involvement, and contribution from the community, we're going to keep seeing amazing things happen.

Best Regards,
Dave

The initial way the products show up is set in Shopp Settings -> Presentations
Set it up to be list, remove all the references to the view-toggel icons and you are set.

It all comes down to combining commands and setting options.
The category tags are here http://docs.shopplugin.net/Category_Tags
You will also need product tags http://docs.shopplugin.net/Product_Tags

you would be using something like

I'd be very interested in hearing about any responses to this too. We'll be needing a membership module. One of the things I'll miss about WP e-Commerce is the very flexible membership module plugin -- but, from what I've seen of Shopp so far, it well outweighs the pro/con list against WPE.

Shopp is able to publish the public-facing pages to my site, but nothing in the administration area works. When I try to enter products, categories, etc., that's when I get the blank page that contains nothing but the warning.

The public pages are fine, but I can't do anything else - can't create products, images, categories, etc. etc. etc. Buttons like the add image button aren't even clickable.

Hi Just me,

I just tried submitting a technical support question to the help desk, but it says my account isn't verified even though I'm using login details that were emailed to me after my shopp purchase. I did put the USPS module in the shopp/shipping folder, same place that I put the UPS module. The UPS one appears fine, but USPS is simply not there in the shipping settings

I'm submitting a separate ticket to get verified now. I never thought this whole setup process would take so long. First the weird theme issue, now the USPS, and now I can't submit a ticket properly. It's a little frustrating

Hey Elaine,

Unfortunately at this time, from my knowledge, that will not be possible. It may however be possible in the near future due to some architecture changes with the upcoming release. While this may not specifically be in the "pipeline" specifically, you will start to see more documentation released for gateways and how to create your own (with proper development knowledge).

Best wishes,
Dave

Still having a problem with this - I've tried removing and re-uploading the plugin, disabling and re-enabling shop, anything that I can think of. My dropshipper uses USPS shipping and I can't make any transactions at all without this module working. Is there a separate help desk I can submit a ticket to, or is the forum the only form of technical support?

Thanks

Hi Remi,
I just found out that neither PayPal or 2Checkout (what I use) goes to a "thank you" page. However, with the 1.1 release (end of April, hopefully), the page will be included.
Good news, as I have been trying to "fix" this for over a week now.

@Just me - True. That'll clear the error, but it doesn't fix the overall problem. This is a really tricky one,it seems!

Thanks Michael! For those who are curious, I just launched a site using Shopp, ran into this same redirect issue and found this post.

I installed the Mavis http-to-https-redirect plugin (linked above) and added checkout,confirm-order,receipt in the settings page and it worked beautifully!

Much appreciated tip!

Miko,

I have not seen a post from you on the help desk. I apologize if this has been due to a technical error. However, this will need to be submitted through the Help Desk.

If you wish, you can even title it to my attention, and I will look into it.

Regards,

What format are the images you're having issues with? Also, are you using database or file system image storage?

I think I figured this out. It clearly states in the PRESENTATION panel in WP admin that "Changes to these settings will only affect new images." Thus, all of the previous images that were uploaded were set to "SCALE TO CROP" DOI! so I'll have to delete and re-upload images.

Also, I am on a testing server IP and can't seem to bypass the https as our previous site endtime.com holds the dns and cert...
