I have a feeling this is super simple and I just glossed over it, but is there a way to force catalog.pho to display in label view without the toggle grid/label.

I looked at the catalog/views switch, but that seems to turn on whether or not the option for different views is there and the default seems to be grid view.

Thanks for any feedback and suggestions.

Here, I did a little searching through the forums and found this:

http://forums.shopplugin.net/topic/custom-variations-display#post-13857

It should be pretty much exactly what you're doing

Hi everyone,

I want to pull the image url for any product without containing the HTML(i.e no <img /> tag).

I have seen a previous post which suggets of using $Shopp->Product->images which is a class.

I have used the print_r command and have looked the class and it contains all the properties needed, however I have not been able to traverse through the object.

Although I am a web developer my object skills in php are lacking, so I was wandering if you can give us a snippet of code that can traverse through the object and extract a property like the image source for a thumbnail.

Many Thanks

Dimitri

First time user of Shopp and I say I've been impressed with its functionality and integration with WordPress.

Having a bit of trouble getting the product image uploading to work smoothly.

Uploaded product photos, but when clicking on the thumbnail, the larger version looks like it is only partially captured.

See this screenshot: http://skitch.com/eugevon/n3x72/san-francisco-neighborhood-series-shop-august-table

What are the pros and cons of using db vs. file system storage? Is file system more robust?

And are these images completely separate from WordPress media library?

Any tips on resolving the product image uploading would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Hi,

you are supposed to replace the {...} with actual commands.
So it will be something like

<?php while(shopp('catalog','categories')) ?>
<?php shopp('category','name') ?>

<?php endwhile; ?>

but instead you could also take a look here http://docs.shopplugin.net/Show_All_Products_in_Each_Category

I've disabled ALL plugins, deleted them in fact. My cart does not show any product. I've checked the database under phpmysql and it contains records for the orders I've placed through the catalog, but again, they don't show up on the cart page nor the cart widget. Help!

I should mention a couple of more things: I'm using the eGallery theme made by elegantthemes, which I've used on another site successfully with Shopp. I'm using the latest version of Shopp, downloaded last night. I'm using WP 2.9.2. I also went back to the previous web site (it's a subdomain) and it too no longer works. Does shopp work in a subdomain? Maybe that's the problem? The site is at ab.wamwc.org which redirects to wamwc.org/ab.

Hi,

it is just a warning, not an error so my guess is, everything is working fine despite the warning. You can get this out of the way, and I know it is not a solution in the long run, by turning 'log php errors' off.

I just read the "On the Horizon" update and I must ask for your forgiveness of my impatience regarding the "thank you" page, etc. That (and many other enhancements) will be included in the 1.1 version.

Thank you for all your hard work - this is a great product.

I have done that a couple of days ago but no answer from the dev, also tried twitter with the same result.

Searching the forums looks like I have a better chance here, but I agree is not really the right forum, just hoping for a fast response as I would like to upgrade my installation of shopp

I just had a client write me about this same issue, and I thought it was solved even in 1.0.17. I had another client, a few months ago, have the same issue - and we upgraded her to 1.0.17 and she has been fine since.

This client is running the most recent version available, and it just happened with her. It makes them very nervous, I can understand that, and I was wondering whether there is something we can do?

Thanks for the response!

Not quite the answer though. Take a look at the following page: http://moonglu.mixd.co.uk/shop/giant-anthem-x1-2010

We've edited the product.php page to list all product variations in a table. For reference I have also previously set the admin site to "show anyway" out of stock products.

If you check the bottom entry in our table of product variations you will see "Large, Black" has not stock number. All the others are currently showing the number in stock i.e. "100in stock". The "in stock" text is just hard coded at the moment hence why it's also is showing up for the one that has no stock. So to re-cap the product variation "Large, Black" has 0 set in the inventory.

If what you are saying is true - then it's not working for product variations?

What I'm looking for is a way of checking a product's variation stock level and if it's larger then 0 echo "In Stock". But if it's 0 then to echo out of stock. I guess this is what you're saying Shopp should do but what I'm asking is does this also work for product variations?

The short code I have been using is:
<?php shopp('product','variation', 'stock'); ?>

However it only outputs a value. What I need is a boolean true or false value?

Would appreciate your help on this once - as we can't find anyone trying to do the same thing on the forums!

Greetings

If you go into Shopp > Settings > Presentation, you will see a section called "Catalog Inventory". In this you can select to either omit out of stock products from your catalog, or select to show them anyway.

If you select to show them anyway, and you have a "0" amount in your inventory for that product, it will display the product and say "Out Of Stock" in place of the "Add To Cart".

This is a built in feature. Is this what you were referring to?

Regards,

Hey Sam,

Have you tried disabling Shopp then turning it back on? I know you've tried turning off other plugins, but I don't see where you've tried that. Simple as it is, sometimes it works. I'll be monitoring this topic.

Regards,
