I've just released the Shopp Translation Project site that will allow for online collaborative translations to take place. I'd like to invite anyone interested in participating to take a visit, register an account and touch base with us in the Help Desk about your interest so that we can get you up and running.
As we get more participants, hopefully we'll be able to get more detailed instructions put together.
What's particularly useful about this is that new strings from Shopp updates will automatically get merged in and you can provide starting translations from PO files you've been working on already.
When I try to register my Gmail-email I get "Error sending mail: All recipients refused", as far as I can see I don't have any settings that reject emails.
Great initiative! I have some troublesome sentences that I'd like some help with!
Correction; no matter what email I try to register (tried three different; gmail and two private) I get "All recipients refused", tried different usernames as well.
Could you please update the documentation for how to change to another language? I've followed everything step by step, it's a bit confusing and doesn't seem to work for me!

Currently translating a bit more to Dutch, would like some upload rights. Besides that, in the Theme templates a lot of text is hardcoded. Will this be replaced in 1.0.7?
You can easily change the text in the templates when you create your own by "enabling theme templates". Myself I changed it to mulitlanguage in order to print what I need.
I don't know If Jon wants to change that part for 1.0.7 It could be a good idea.

Once you get logged in, it's important to go to "My Account" and select the "Shopp" project and the language(s) you will be working on.

You need to change the language tag in your config.php file in your root.
Then the translation should kick in.

And then save it with "poedit" to make a .mo file.
Next version will probably have the french .mo file inserted.
